When we started in 2005, most leather armor looked brand new—perfectly brown with no character. We wanted something different. Drawing inspiration from film prop departments, we developed specialized aging methods using inks, oils, sanding, airbrushing, hand-tooling, and custom finishing techniques.
The result? Premium vegetable-tanned leather transformed into pieces that look like they've survived epic battles and legendary quests. 🎨 Do you make custom pieces?
Yes! We love bringing unique visions to life. Here's how customization works:

Size Adjustments:
Larger or smaller than standard sizes require pattern modifications. For embossed pieces, custom-sized stencils may be needed. We'll provide a detailed quote including all necessary adjustments.
Fully Custom Designs:
We carefully evaluate custom commission requests. Because design and pattern development requires significant artisan time, we focus on projects that have potential to serve other customers in the future. This allows us to offer fair pricing while maintaining our quality standards.
Very specific one-off designs that can't be adapted for our broader catalog typically aren't feasible for our workshop model.

We work with premium quality leather from animals raised for human consumption, including cow, rabbit, and goat leather. We also use genuine leather cords, quality metal hardware (brass, nickel, antique finishes), and resin for select decorative pieces.
All our pieces are meticulously hand-painted. Our specific aging and finishing techniques are artisan trade secrets developed over two decades of experimentation and refinement.

📏 What about sizing?

Accurate measurements are essential for a perfect fit. For breastplates, we need both shoulder width and belly circumference (not just your height). Different body types require different considerations.
